📝 Getting Started

How do I become a seller on Manxsy?
Click “Sell on Manxsy” and register for a vendor account. Once approved, you’ll get access to your vendor dashboard.

How do I set up my shop?
In your Vendor Dashboard, go to Settings → Store to upload your banner, logo, add your bio, policies, and social links.

Do I need a PayPal account?
Yes. Manxsy uses PayPal Marketplace for payments. You’ll connect your Business PayPal account during setup.

Can I change my shop name later?
Yes. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Store to update your shop name, URL, and other details.

🛠️ Product Listings

How do I add a product?
Go to Products → Add New in your vendor dashboard. Fill in product details, upload images, set price, and publish.

Can I sell personalised or made-to-order items?
Yes — include clear instructions in the description and use order notes to collect personalisation details.

Can I sell digital downloads?
Yes! Upload your file(s) and check the “Downloadable” option when adding/editing a product.

Can I sell vintage or pre-loved items?
Yes, as long as they’re clearly described and meet Manxsy’s quality and uniqueness standards.

How do I edit or delete products?
Go to Products, select the product, then update or delete as needed.

📦 Orders & Shipping

How do I know when I get an order?
You’ll receive an email notification and the order will appear in your Vendor Dashboard → Orders.

How do I mark an order as shipped?
Go to Orders, open the order, and change the status to “Completed.” You can also add a tracking number.

Can I message a customer?
Yes — use the built-in Manxsy messaging system for all order-related communications.

What if I can’t fulfil an order?
Contact the buyer immediately via the order message system. Request cancellation or refund in your dashboard. Need help? Email contact@manxsy.com.

Can I offer local collection or delivery?
Yes, if you’re based on the Isle of Man or nearby. Indicate this clearly in your product description or shipping settings.

How do I set different shipping rates?
You can set flat-rate, weight-based, or location-based shipping rules per product in your Shipping settings.

Can I offer free shipping?
Yes — set shipping cost to £0 in your product shipping options.

What if a parcel is lost or damaged?
Communicate with the customer to resolve (refund or replacement). You may need to file a claim with your courier.

💰 Fees & Payment Processing on Manxsy

What fees does Manxsy charge?
Manxsy charges a 6% commission + £0.20 per transaction on every sale you make. This fee is automatically deducted from your payout.

Are there listing fees?
No — it’s completely free to list your products. You only pay the commission fee when you make a sale.

What about PayPal fees?
Since payments are processed through PayPal Marketplace, PayPal charges its own fees on top of Manxsy’s commission. These fees are deducted by PayPal when the payment is received.

Typical PayPal fees are:

  • Domestic transactions: Around 2.9% + £0.30 per transaction
  • International transactions: Approximately 4.4% + fixed fee depending on currency and country

When will I get paid?
Once the customer completes the purchase, payments (minus Manxsy commission and PayPal fees) go directly to your linked PayPal account — usually instantly or within minutes.

What if my payment is delayed?
Check your PayPal account for any issues. If you still have problems, contact us at contact@manxsy.com with your order details and we’ll help resolve it.

🧾 Taxes & Invoices

Do I need to handle my own taxes?
Yes — vendors are responsible for declaring income and paying taxes per local laws.

Can I download invoices?
Yes — order invoices and earning summaries are available in your Dashboard → Orders and Reports.

 

🖼️ Customising Your Storefront

How do I add a banner or logo?
In Dashboard → Settings → Store, upload your banner (recommended 1200x300px) and logo.

Can I write a shop bio or about section?
Yes — add a short intro or brand story in Store Settings.

Can I link social media accounts?
Yes — fields for Instagram, Facebook, and more are available in Store Settings.

Can I enable vacation mode?
Yes — toggle Vacation Mode in Store Settings to pause your shop temporarily.

 

📚 Policies & Disputes

Can I write my own shop policies?
Yes — under Settings → Policies, add your return, cancellation, shipping, and privacy policies.

What if there’s a dispute with a customer?
Try to resolve issues politely via messages first. If needed, contact Manxsy support to help mediate.

💬 Messaging & Notifications

How do I communicate with customers?
Use Manxsy’s messaging system inside your dashboard. Customers can message you through your store.

Will I be notified when I receive a message?
Yes — you get email and dashboard notifications.

Can I report abusive or inappropriate messages?
Yes — use the Report button on messages or email contact@manxsy.com.

How do reviews work?
Customers leave reviews after purchasing. Reviews show on product and store pages.

Can I reply to a review?
Yes — respond to thank customers or address concerns professionally.

What if I get a negative review?
If it violates guidelines, contact us. Otherwise, respond politely to resolve concerns.

 

📊 Reports & Sales Insights

Can I track my performance?
Yes — Dashboard → Reports shows orders, product stats, and commissions.

Can I download sales data?
Yes — export reports as CSV files from Reports.

 

🧑‍💻 Branding & SEO

Can I add tags and keywords?
Yes — add relevant tags and use descriptive titles and descriptions for better visibility.

Can I use my own branding (thank-you cards, stickers)?
Absolutely! Personalise orders to build loyalty.


 

🧵 Product Types Not Allowed

What can’t I sell on Manxsy?

  • Counterfeit or replica goods
  • Dangerous or restricted items (knives, chemicals, etc.)
  • Mass-produced factory goods (unless customised or handmade)

At this time, Manxsy is only accepting sellers and vendors based on the Isle of Man & the United Kingdom. We hope to expand to international sellers in the future. If you’re local to the Isle of Man & The U.K , welcome aboard!
